A 'rumpus' is a loud, distracting noise. At Rumpus Music, that definition makes us smile. We enjoy being loud and distracting and we hope you enjoy the music we've made. Please turn it up loud and let yourself be distracted from your daily routine.

WHO ARE WE?

If you look through the liner notes of these different CDs (as well you SHOULD), you'll notice a lot of the same people have contributed their amazing talents to these projects. These recordings are the wonderful byproducts of those friends who enjoy making music together.

We generally live, work, and play in Kansas City, though some of us have scattered different directions. Most of us have real jobs and families. You may find us making music on the weekends or on weeknights, typically, between the hours of 9pm and 2am.
